Killara is a suburb on the Upper North Shore of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia, 14 kilometers (8.7 mi) northwest of the Sydney Central Business District in the local government area of Ku-ring-gai Council. East Killara is a separate suburb, and West Killara is a locality within Killara.

Killara railway station is located on Sydney Trains’ North Shore & Western Line. The Pacific Highway runs through Killara and is the primary highway. On Karranga Avenue, there are two churches: St Martin’s Anglican Church and Killara Uniting Church (previously Killara Congregational Church).

Commercial complexes such as the Greengate Hotel and Poolwerx may be found along the Pacific Highway. Residents mainly go shopping in the surrounding suburbs of Gordon, Macquarie Park, and Chatswood.
