Merrylands is a suburb in Western Sydney, Australia. It is located 25 kilometers west of the Sydney central business district and is in the local government area of the Cumberland City Council.

Merrylands was named after Arthur Todd Holroyd (1806–1887), an Englishman who bought land in this area in 1855 and gave his name to the nearby community of Holroyd.

Merrylands has a commercial area in Merrylands Road, primarily comprised of art deco-style buildings developed in the 1930s and 1940s and is ornamented by a couple of London planetrees. Stockland Merrylands is a retail mall with supermarkets, department stores with deep discounts, and specialized stores.

The Inner West & Leppington and Cumberland lines of the Sydney Trains network service the Merrylands railway station. Commuters have unlimited parking. It is located on the Liverpool-Parramatta bus route. Woodville Rd’s main transportation corridors, Coleman St, Hawkesview Rd, Neil St, Pitt St, Lois St, and Excelsior St, are some of the other main roads.
