Smithfield is a Sydney suburb in the Australian state of New South Wales. Smithfield is 25 kilometers (16 miles) west of Sydney’s central business district, in the City of Fairfield and Cumberland Council local government regions. Located partially in the suburb, the Smithfield-Wetherill Park Industrial Estate is the largest industrial estate in the southern hemisphere.
